About Josh's Write Up

Your Source For Original Takes And Analysis

About the Author

Hi, I'm Josh — a Computer Science graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire who built this entire platform from scratch. I created Josh's Write Up to combine my technical background with a lifelong passion for sports.

Growing up in Wisconsin, I've been a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Beyond the Badger State, I also root for the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Bucks. These teams have given me countless memories — from thrilling playoff runs to heartbreaking losses — and fuel every article I write.

Whether it's breaking down Xs and Os in football, analyzing basketball strategies, or diving into baseball statistics, I bring both a fan's passion and a data-informed, analytical mindset to everything on this site.

The Mission

Josh's Write Up delivers data-informed analysis, in-depth breakdowns, and original perspectives across every major league. I handle the research and deep analysis so readers can walk into conversations with thoughtful, well-informed opinions that hold up with even the most die-hard fans.

Every article is written by a real fan, for real fans. No AI-generated filler, no recycled hot takes — just honest analysis and the kind of opinions that spark group chats and dinner-table debates.

What I Cover

From the NFL to NCAA sports, basketball to baseball, hockey to golf, and everything in between — I cover it all. My content includes game analysis, player profiles, team breakdowns, and opinion pieces that spark real conversation.

Built From the Ground Up

This isn't a WordPress blog or a social media page — Josh's Write Up is a full-stack web application I designed, built, and deployed myself using ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL, and AWS. From the threaded comment system to the image optimization pipeline, every feature was hand-coded. If you're interested in the technical side, the entire project is open source on GitHub.
